You must vote out of office republican senators and representatives in the November 3, 2026 election.
WHY?
Donald Trump, although not up for re-election, has instructed voters to vote like he is on the ballot. And, in truth, he IS on the ballot, or at least the devastating programs that he has instructed republican representatives and senators to vote for (and which they duly passed). If we do not vote out of office all "republican" enablers, President Trump will have two more years to continue his assault on Democracy, the Constitution, and on our rights, freedoms, and programs that were designed to make our lives better.
What are those programs that republicans have passed (or failed to act on) that harmed all Americans (except rich oligarchs including members of the Trump family)?
-They passed the great, big beautiful bill that:
1. Cut healthcare benefits by cutting over a trillion dollars from Medicaid and Affordable Care Act subsidies, causing millions of you to lose your health insurance coverage or forced to pay higher out-of-pocket medical costs;
2. Took away over $200 billion from the food stamp program (SNAP), that provided food funding for low income families
3. Eliminated food support for millions of working-class families with low incomes by adding strict requirements for older adults and parents to get food cost support;
4. Gave high tax cuts for corporations and wealthy people (America's oligarchs), while providing much lower tax cuts for 80% of Americans with lower income;
5. Added 3-4 trillion dollars more in the national debt
- They failed to stop president Trump's war with Iran by not voting for the War Powers Act that allows Congress to stop wars that presidents start without authorization, the war that allowed Iran to choke off passage of crude oil out of the Strait of Hormuz, causing gas prices to skyrocket in America. The war that has cost 22-23 American soldier deaths, wounding of 800+ service men/women, killing of 1,700+ innocent Iranian civilians (including 254 children), and severely depleting stocks of anti-missle defense weapons, making America vulnerable to attacks by other countries;
- They failed to stop Trump's tariff war on the rest the world, causing prices on food, gas, electricity, and other daily necessities to skyrocket, boosting inflation to over 4% and nearly doubling the price of gas and diesel fuel. The war that has caused American farmers to lose mullions of dollars and forcing some into bankruptcy;
-They confirmed three Trump Supreme Court nominees (Gorsuch, Barrett, and Kavanaugh) who, along with existing Justices Thomas and Alito, ruled that Trump is immune from any criminal acts he commits while in office, and struck down women's health provisions in Roe vs. Wade (even though Kavanaugh, Barrett, and Gorsuch promised not to overturn Roe vs. Wade while testifying before congress in confirmation hearings).
To reverse all the programs passed by republicans that harm Americans, you must vote out all republican representatives and senators up for election in the November 3, 2026 election. If majorities of democrats are elected to the House and Senate, they can reverse the programs and restore your benefits and rights to make living in America affordable again (click on vote to see who to vote out and who to vote in).
Additionally, once democrats control House and Senate actions by gaining the majority, they can pursue impeachment and removal of: 1). defense secretary Hegseth - for weakening the armed forces by forcing out the generals and admirals who disagreed with his foolhardy military moves and for denying promotion to general and admiral ranks of all women and male officers of color; 2). Health and Human Services secretary Kennedy - for endangering the health of all Americans by attempting to weaken vaccination programs to prevent diseases (like the rampant outbreak of measles related to his casting doubts on the efficacy of vaccination programs); and, 3). House Speaker Johnson for trying to subvert election results if they would give control of the House and Senate to democrats (Johnson stated that ..."We cannot and we will not allow them to take the majority in Congress"after the 2026 mid-term elections") which is a clearly impeachable attempt to overturn the results of the 2026 mid-term elections.
America's Future: Democracy or Dictatorship
Our forefathers in 1776 created a Constitution of checks and balances, establishing three branches of government: the Executive or presidency; the Legislative (House and Senate); and the Judicial (courts, including the Supreme Court). The idea was that each branch would serve as a check against excesses by other branches, thereby avoiding creation of a dictatorship like the one in England under King George III. Three attempts to create a dictatorship in the U. S. since then were squashed by one or the other of the legislative and judicial branches. Two defeats by the legislative branch included both Republican and Democratic House representatives. The third attempt was quashed by the courts.
Now the Trump administration is attacking Democracy and the Constitution in an attempt to install Donald Trump as dictator. This is happening because:
1). the check on actions against the Constitution, Democracy, and your rights by the executive branch (President Trump, Vice-president Vance, Cabinet heads) does not exist because enabling republicans in the House and Senate have voted to give president Trump whatever he wants for the benefit of only the richest of Americans including the Trump family; and
2). decisions by the Supreme (supine) Court and lower courts (with a few notable exceptions) have enabled, rather than thwarted, Trump's attempts at controlling our lives without restraint.
The only way you can stop the assaults on Democracy, the Constitution, and your rights is to vote out of office all Republicans in the House (all are up for re-erelection) and Senate (one third are up for re-election) in the November 3, 2026 election, replacing them with democrat and independent candidates who will act as a check on president Trump's dictatorial moves and cancel republican legislative actions (see the column to the left of this column), thereby making your lives better and more affordable, rather than simply enriching already wealthy Trump megadonors.
Voting to give the Democrats the majority in the House and Senate will prevent Trump from nominating and having confirmed Supreme (supine) Court justices who will only act in his favor .
Our forefathers shed blood and died in the Revolutionary War to end the dictatorship of King George III of England. All that concerned Americans have to do now in this, a second war on Democracy and our rights, is to vote out all republicans in House and Senate races in November 3, 2026. Attempts by the White House and its sycophants to intimidate voters by having ICE storm troopers "monitor" elections will fail because there are far too few ICE agents to "monitor" (intimidate non-white voters) voting. There are approximately 113,754 polling places in America and approximately 22,000 ICE agents. As is typical of bullies, ICE agents only work in packs of 5-10 (or more), meaning that at most, if all ICE agents were sent to intimidate voters, they could only hit between 2 and 4 % of all polling places. So much for the threat by propaganda minister Bannon to send ICE agents to voting places.
Remember that Hungarians voted out the dictator Orban in 2026 by a huge voter turnout (77.8% of registered voters) in spite of his efforts to intimidate voters, and in spite of Trump's attempt to support him (Vice-president Vance went to Hungary before the election and encouraged voters to vote for Orban). We can remove Trump's enabling representatives and senators if everyone votes to remove them from office and save America if we get a huge voter turnout. Regarding concerns about mail-in-voting, the Supreme Court has ruled that it is too late to change the laws to make it more difficult to vote by mail - mail-in voting forms will be sent as usual by individual states and your mail-in vote will count. According to an article in USA Today "...election plans, which were made months, or even years, before early voting begins, will be allowed to continue as scheduled. Envelopes purchased months ago, some of which had stamps affixed weeks ago will be filled with ballots and mailed out in accordance with state law." You can safely vote by mail and your votes will count.
People who want to protect Democracy, the Construction, and their rights, freedoms, and ability to afford to live in the United States must vote out of office all republican politicians up for election and vote for democrats opposing them. That includes all republican representatives and a third of senators.
